Thanks for the comment ... I noticed too that the trailer for "The Road," at least in one scene makes the bad guys supposedly more ominous, but in that case I thought that more was too much. I am now reading Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian." It keeps the gore to such a low level that I had to go back and read what happened again. Even without over-the-top description it is the bloodiest book I have ever read.

The trailer of the movie "Shutter Island" makes the story far more instantly ominous. The book has it creep on you.
