Transformers - Don't judge a Film like a Novel!

I often think about the correlation between films and novels and also their vast differences - seeing the new Transformers movie and then seeing the reviews got me thinking about the critics and how they seem to judge films in the way i would expect them to critique a novel! Would love your thoughts on this topic!

Stateham's First Rule of readig Film Critics: If they say it's a bad movie, it's gonna be good. If they say it is worthless trash, it certainly will be nominated for an Academy Award.

Stateham's Second Rule of reading Film Critics: If the critic said the movie was a brilliant portrayal of Angst and Inner Doubt--the odds are its a movie that even a dead catholic martyr wouldn't be found dead in. And it won't make a dime in profit.

Stateham's Third rule of reading Film Critics: Read their comments and have a good laugh. It's always funny reading comments from someone who hasn't a clue what the hell they're saying. (as an example: hear the wails of laughter aimed at my commentary? Point proven.)
Hahaha Very true - I must listen to you more often! I shall remember this next time I see a good, entertaining film!
