I've come to enjoy free ebooks. What did we do without them. Free is always good and made better because it's, well, free. I wish I could read all the free ebook, but I've already got bunches I haven't gotten to yet.

Hey, what about Pay Pal censoring what they deem to be immoral books? They are a private company and I guess it's okay if they censor, though it seems…

What the CWA Top 100 missed (US authors) What the CWA Top 100 missed (US authors) What the CWA Top 100 missed

My ambition to read all top 100 crime novels (according to the 1990 CWA list) is going well, but I keep thinking of titles that seem to have been missed off the list.

I’ve read mainly US titles so far, so here are five surprise omissions from the list. I’ll suggest some UK omissions later.…

Good to be back

Hi Everyone, I'm back, at least I'm going to try and be back. I'm working really hard on my new novel. I'm calling it That Girl. I went through a block of procrastination for about a year and a half. I am getting geared up to promote my first novel, Bum's Rush. I'm a little shy about it. Doubt keeps rearing it's ugly head and indecision keeps me inactive. It's quite paralyzing. I'll keep you informed.

More Than Pretty Wrappings

Opening a new book is like unwrapping a present on Christmas morning. You see a pretty dust cover over the formed cardboard like shell and you wonder what’s inside. Will it be a story to excite you or make you laugh? Will the hero be fearless and the bad guys extra evil?

Many times, the book ends up being the annual Father’s Day tie. Nothing special, same unexciting characters, standard plot with a few new twists. Once in awhile, however, you do get something shiny and fresh…
