Looking for crime novels set in 1950's New Orleans.

Can anyone recommend any?
They can be old or new--
Not interested (at the moment) in contemporary settings either, and yes I love James Lee Burke--but I am wanting one decade only.
My interest is strictly 1950's French Quarter.
My google searches turn into dead ends.
Anybody?

New Orleans features in my work in progress. I've been there many times on and off in my life--nearly lived there.
My novel takes place in the 1950's.
Although I've read a lot of non-fiction--I was also wanting to read fiction (crime stuff) set pre 1960's--
I did read a great book of short stories, New Orleans Confidentital by De Noux a homicide det. (New Orleans)--set in post war New Orleans--
anyway, thanks very much for answering. I'll certainly look up those that you mentioned.

I found an author, Chris Wiltz, whose novels are listed as New Orlean Mysteries.
However, I have not read any and do not know the era. He was born in 1948. So you can research from there. Three novels were mentioned.

I thought that name rang a bell!
Chris wrote a book I just ordered!
It's not fiction, it's about a Madam in the French Quarter and I couldn't resist it because I have a character who runs a brothel! Love that writing and reading that sort of grit!
But I will also check out the other books too.
