Sisters in Crime is an international organization of writers, readers, booksellers, librarians, agents, editors, reviewers and teachers interested in raising awareness of women's contributions to the mystery genre. On October 13th, the Northern Californian Chapter will host an all-day workshop at the University of the Pacific to show all writers how to:

Represent! Find the right agent to represent you!
Catch an eye! Draw an agent's attention with the perfect query package: query letter, synopsis and the first three chapters
Get in touch! Learn techniques on self critiquing and self editing.
Q&A! You've got questions. They've got answers. Tackle published authors on any subject.

In addition, published novelists will read twenty-five double-spaced pages and provide a 20 minute one-on-one critique session.

Cost: $75 for Sisters in Crime members, $85 for non-members and additional $25 for the manuscript critique.
