I'm the Wall Street editor of FORBES magazine. My thrillers, TOO RICH TO LIVE and FEAR & GREED are the beginning of the Karen Glick series, published by Dorchester Leisure Books. Check them out! I also co-authored a thriller, LADYKILLER (Oceanview Press, April 2007), with my wife, Meredith Anthony. We live in Manhattan and have a ball.
thanks for including me here. Good luck on your books. And by the way, I was Time Magazine Person of the Year for 2006, so I guess I'm in good company. :D
Hi Lawrence. Thanks for adding me. I'm envious of you, living in Manhattan and having a ball. And you're probably at the Edgars this week. (sigh) Enjoy.
Hi Lawrence,
Thanks for the invite. As chance would have it, I just started TOO RICH TO LIVE last night. I figured it was a good read to carry for a visit to Manhattan this week for the Edgar banquet.
Dave
Hi, Lawrence. Of course I want to be your friend. I happen to be writing a thriller myself at the moment. Not too different from the mysteries, just with more lurking danger. I also like Lee Child's thrillers.
Just calling in to say "G'day" - although by rights it should be "Good Day", as I'm really a Brit. The idea of having a husband and wife team of writers is scary. If I ask my husband so much as to edit/punctuate my stuff we go into a war zone within minutes. I'm impressed - and envious.
Hi Lawrence,
Thanks for the invitation. With all the ones I've received since signing up just a few days ago, I soon won't have time to do any writing at all.
What a team you two make, Lawrence. Your enthusiasm is infectious and I will try and free up some time in the near future to dive into your books. Manhattan is a blast and I, for one, cannot wait to get back for a taste of it. Best, Matt
I'm delighted to join your many friends, although I may have to hate you for living in Manhattan. With a job like yours, you must have a hundred tales to tell. Best of Luck!
Hey gang-- Thanks for all the kind wishes. So far so good. Signed books at 2 booths at BEA this weekend. So far my favorite review is in January Magazine -- they call us the Nick and Nora Charles of crime writing... Cool!!
Hi Lawrence! Congratulations on your books and book signings. I read a about them in Meredith's page. It sounds like you two are having a blast! Keep us posted. My first book singing is coming up on June 19. I'm looking forward to it!
Marta
I've put Ladykiller on my summer reading list. I will keep watch, just in case you and Meredith come to Seattle (Elliot Bay Books is a great place). Good luck to you both.
Hi Lawrence - gotta say I envy your day job. Love those Forbes lists. Maybe some day one of us Crimespacers will sell enough copies to make it alongside Dan Brown on the annual celebrity ranking! Tho' if I were in your shoes, I'd forget writing and parlay my current position into a gig at a hedge-fund or private-equity partnership. Lovely jubbly! (As we Brits say)
Looks like a great book. I'll bet it's cool to do booksignings with your wife. My wife and I have talked about it, but then we start giggling when we realize all of the 'creative differences' we'd encounter.
Hey gang! Meredith and I will be signing LADYKILLER at the Barnes & Noble in Greenwich Village on Wednesday, June 20 at 7:30 pm. If you're in town, come down and say hey! Should be fun.
Hi! Meredith and I just got back from the Deadly Ink conference in New Jersey. It was great fun. We met lots of folks, talked on some panels, drank in the bar with fellow authors all night. Great!
How's tricks? Much obliged that you stopped by my space and made me feel welcome, I really appreciate it ... hope Ladykiller does a bomb for you ... If you want to touch base at Crime Always Pays and fill out a Q&A, I'd be delighted to give it a plug on my blog ... for whatever that's worth ...
Hi Lawrence! Thank you to both you and Meredith for the invites. I've heard about those East Side parties of yours....Ladykiller looks like a winner. Hope to meet both of you at Thrillerfest--I can't wait to get back to NYC!
Thank you, fellow Manhattanite! You know, I've been away from New York for 28 years. I can't believe it sometimes. Your thriller sound wonderful. I will try and get them. All the best to you.
Hi Lawrence and good to meet you. Your series looks interesting - I'm a big fan of thrillers. If I wrote a book with my husband, that might turn into a murder mystery:)
Brenda
It will be great to compare notes and process with another author(s). Best of luck with sales and tour. This is an exciting time for you both. I did catch a review of the book in Mystery Scene, so word is getting out. Great title, by the way.
Congratulations on LADYKILLER. You wrote it with your wife and you're still married. Congratulations on that too. The Black Orchid is a great bookstore which, alas, is closing soon. Glad to be oart of your friends' circle. Ciao.
