Profile Information

Hometown:
Hee-Haw salutes my hometown, Urbana, Ill., population 38,463. SAL-OOT!
About Me:
I'm a writer living in Denver. Eager for my first sale of anything at any length, I've been plugging away at short stories while I outline a novel.

My dad was a cop for 26 years, so I glom a lot of ideas and inspiration from him. That many years provides lots of stories. He's my hero. My mom reads three or four paperback thrillers a week. She's my first reader and what she says goes. Usually.

I have a day job... I write software manuals. In other words, I write books nobody---and I do mean nobody---ever reads.
I Am A:
Reader, Writer

Books And Authors I Like:
Off the top of my head in ninety seconds:

THE WASTE LANDS, WATERSHIP DOWN, the Matt Helm series, SKINNY LEGS AND ALL, A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY, Max Allan Collins's non-tie in stuff, Greg Iles, 50's and 60's pulp stuff, David Dodge, Michael Connelly, Anita Shreve, Ed McBain, Ken Follett, the Hard Case Crime imprint, Stephen White...
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
I don't watch a lot of TV, except for LOST, stupid AMERICAN IDOL, and UFC stuff on Spike.

I do watch as many movies as I can...

What's in the box... ?

Hi,
Thanks for having my book on your TBR list. It's nothing like the book coming out this year, but I think it holds it's own. Let me knw what you think.

Hey thanks... For me it was a toss up between SLAA and FIERCE INVALIDS. Who needs drugs when there's Tom Robbins?

Hi, Rob & welcome to Crimespace! Can't tell you how cool it is to see SKINNY LEGS AND ALL on your list - it's always been a toss up for me between that one and JITTERBUG PERFUME. A little Tom Robbins is a great balance to the darker stuff.
