The Devil of Devonshire

This is a short film for the project direct competition. It's based on a true story. In a small town in Southeast england called Devonshire, these strange tracks appeared one morning after a snowstorm. They tracked them 38 miles out of town before the snow melted. People spread rumors of "the Devil's footprints," and panic spread within the cities near the coast. The CGI at the end was done in 1 night in a scramble to meet the deadline, so we may upload another version at a later time. I ...

About Me:
I'm a writer. I kinda love it. I kinda hate it. But mostly I love it. I grew up in Bradford, Arkansas, and have always lived in the South, so that's where I set my thrillers. My books have been described as creepy and disturbing. I write about dark secrets and old murders, dusty backroads and murky bayous.

Bond Rebooted

If you’ve been working too hard this summer, you need to take a break and go rent Casino Royale, the latest James Bond movie. Have you seen it? I resisted for a long time because I wasn't sure about the new guy. I wanted to see Clive Owen in the role and my second choice would have been Hugh Jackman. And, too, the last few Bond movies have been so bad that I completely lost interest in the franchise.

The Dollmaker Theme

If you've been around in the synth scene for a while, you've probably heard of the German band Placebo Effect. In 1999, frontman Axel Machens started a new project, Breathe.

KILLER DOLLS

Some weeks back, I guest-blogged on another site about a concept known as spontaneous generation—the likelihood of people exposed to the same mass media stimuli coming up with the same idea. This theory can explain why two movies with the same premise can be released by two different studios at virtually the same time. Armageddon and Deep Impact, for example.

Yikes....the doll scared me. Speaking of murkey bayous My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.

the latest Casino Royale was definitely exciting, I loved it, but for me Sean Connery will always be THE James Bond. My choice: From Russia With Love
