The Danes are great readers, in many languages. The Danish literary benefits American authors disproportionately; Danish advances for Danish translation rights are fully sixty percent of American publisher's advances.

My novel, Blind Jagt, appeared in Danish and did well in book club edition. Danish advances for foreign rights deals are very generous, so it's nice to know that I earned out.
