- I’m Gemma Halliday and I write the High Heels Mysteries about L.A. shoe designer turned amateur sleuth, Maddie Springer and her LAPD Detective love interest, Jack Ramirez. My first book, SPYING IN HIGH HEELS, came out in 2006 and I've been completely thrilled with the attention it's gotten. This year it won a National Reader's Choice award, as well as being nominated for two RITA awards. And, as if that weren't enough to make a girl happy, it's also currently in development with the USA Network for a TV series. Fun stuff!
My second book, KILLER IN HIGH HEELS, came out in February 2007, and the third in the series, UNDERCOVER IN HIGH HEELS, will hit shelves September 2007.
