- I have been writing in one form or another for more than 60 years - newspapers, magazines, speeches, PR, advertising and, yes, fiction - my career path wriggles like a snake. I have four Greg McKenzie mysteries (a retired Air Force OSI agent, he and his wife run a PI shop) in print. Check them out at http://www.chesterdcampbell.com. I'm just finishing the first book in a new series about a P.I. who specializes in missing persons. Oh, I also write short stories, one in an anthology coming soon titled Headstones and Red Herrings.

- Some of my favorite authors are Robert B. Parker, James Lee Burke, Harlan Coben, Jan Burke, P.J. Parrish, Barbara Parker, Elizabeth Terrell, and Ben Small.
- Movies And TV Shows I Like:
- Since I average about one movie a year, it's sort of hard to say. I'm not much of a TV watcher, either, except for the news. My wife has been hooked on Hallmark Channel movies, and I've seen a few there I liked. I'm mostly a reader and a listener (to other people talking).

Rescuing the Greg McKenzie Mysteries
When my small press publisher decided to cut his costs for warehousing by pulling my third book out of circulation, I acquired a supply of them to go along with a limited horde of the first two books, which were out of print for all practical purposes. I got an Amazon Advantage account and arranged to keep them on Amazon, and I put a three-book sale page on my website. Hoping to scare up some action, I created a video that I put on YouTube at

- Hi, Elizabeth. I got a brief mention in the entertainment column of the morning paper Friday, so maybe it'll scare up a few folks. I've invited lots of people but you never know who will show up. Tell your husband it's an easy job. He'll meet a lot of interesting people. Just be sure he knows which way to direct folks to the restrooms.

- Chester, I hope the room is packed for your book launch. My hubby is supposed to work on refreshments for mine along with the staff of the Mysterious Bookshop. I've been thinking about your wife--wish he could take lessons from her in drawing in the buyers before we go on the road in May and June. He's already tired of hearing, "Chester Campbell's wife says, 'Do you read mysteries?'"

I think we may even have had dinner together afterwards (although everyone who knows me, knows me as someone else there...) I'm planning to attend the January blues party, too, so we'll see each other there, and get properly introduced then. :-)
