I have no fixed address at the moment, split my time between Sydney and Melbourne
About Me:
My surname is real, seriously, I have the birth certificate to prove it, but the hair colour aint! I've written three crime novels starring stripper/PI Simone Kirsch. Peepshow (2004) Rubdown (2005) and Cherry Pie (2007) and I've worked on a prawn trawler, as a stripper, masseuse, waitress, check-out chick and apprentice chef. My life story is a long and convoluted one and available on my website.
Oh god, so many! Let's see...Peter Corris, Peter Temple, Katherine Howell, Marele Day, Shane Maloney, Gabrielle Lord, Robert Crais, Michael Robotham, Val McDermid, Vicky Hendricks (especially Miami Purity), Sue Grafton and tonnes more that escape me right now. The book I wish I'd written is Susanna Moore's In the Cut.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Movies: The Last Seduction, WIld at Heart, Sideways.
TV: Can't stand watching TV but getting very into watching DVD's of TV shows: Dexter, Battlestar Galactica, Entourage, Arrested Development.
Hey everyone I'm moving to Vietnam! Yep, going on the 26th of August for god knows how long. I'll be your woman in Hanoi. If anyone's ever over there and wants to get together for some snake wine, send me an email. I already know a few words of Vietnamese: 'cu tu tu.' It means Easy Tiger. Should get me by!
Hi Leigh, I've just had a look at your novels and I'm going to head to Amazon and order them. PI's and strippers. Two of my favourite things in a book!
Best of luck in Vietnam,
Simon
Hi Leigh. I just want to say i felt like i have lived parallel to Simone Kirsch. i feel like i have been and worked in all the places that she has, and haunted all the places she has haunted. i love your books, and i am constantly looking in borders to see when the next one is coming out. it has been a long time since i have found a book interesting, so thankyou for renewing my interest in reading. i have worked all up and down king street in Melbourne. Did you ever work at Diamonds which is now Spearmint Rhino?

Hiya Leigh
Nice to hear from ya! Yes indeed, both A&U babies now.... been a long time coming but worth it. Are you going to Byron Bay? If so, I'll catch you there! If not, you're on for St Kilda... it rocks, even in winter!
Take care and catch you in June.
I thought I was the only one with a conveluted life. You are definately an intriging person. I can't wait to read some of your work. Since I am relativley new to writing, four years, and only short story publication, I don't quite feel like I fit in to the authors world, yet.
Check out my profile if you get a chance.
Later,
Michael
Just got back from Vietnam Leigh. Fascinating place. You'll have to write stories involving the war as hanoi and Saigon seem to be preoccupied with it still.
I was in Sydney in 2000 for the Olympics, in the land down under where (in an unsung verse by Men at Work) women glow and men chunder. It was magical. Bottle it and sell it and you'll never have to work another day in your life.
Hi Leigh, thanks for the invite to visit you here. I'm a Brisbanite (member of CrimeWriters Qld), and enjoyed your forum at the B.W.Festival last year (you were with Ian Callinan, another CWQ member). I believe you'll be at Melbourne soon. 've just left there and it b.cold. (Not a good climate for strippers!)
Well thank you everyone for being my friend and thanks Daniel for turning me into a computer geek. When it comes to technology things have to be explained to me veeeerrryyy slooooowly. Gosh, isn't the internet just a great way of procrastinating from writing?
Hi Leigh. Great to catch up with you on Wednesday. Do you give flamboyance lessons? Good luck in Broken Hill - maybe you could pick up a few tips from Emily Tempest. By the way, Leigh - have you got my email address?
