So little space. My most important influences: Dennis Lehane, Michael Connelly, George Pelecanos, Richard Price, Daniel Woodrell, Stephen King, Stewart O'Nan, James Lee Burke. Up-and-comers I recommend everyone read: Alafair Burke, Theresa Schwegel, Sean Doolittle, Steven Sidor. Here's where I have to cut myself off before I add 30 names and get out of control.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
The Wire, Entourage, Sopranos. I'll stand by Seinfeld as the best sitcom that ever aired. The only TV I watch consistently is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. As for movies, I'm obviously a film noir fan, and won't embark on that long list, just go check out the classics as a starting point. Best movie I've seen recently is The Proposition.

See, now this is why Crimespace is so dangerous. Another author that has received no publicity down here, another author whose books sound great, another author added to my internet bookstore's basket. Sigh, this placeis going to bankrupt me.
Hi Michael. My face-to-face discussion group just read TONIGHT I SAID GOODBYE. It was one of those rare books that everybody liked and generated some lively discussion. Looking forward to the next in the series.
