"I like the team approach, it is after all how a real murder task force would work.  I think you need to be careful though not to introduce too many characters in the opening paragraphs; this might overwhelm the reader with information and…"

"I don't think it's a novel approach. As been said before, TV shows like Crimininal Minds also use a whole team, and in crime fiction I think about the Ed McBain books, but also the Burke novels by Andrew Vachss."

"Miriam, Good luck with the story. My take is that the approach is much more realistic than the 'lone' investigator out there slogging through on his own. Real crimes are solved this way, with the assistance of many expertise. And you are…"

Books And Authors I Like:
I actually read a nonfiction book again. They Fought For Each Other by Kelly Kennedy. I also have read at least some of Accounting Methods 3rd edition for my MBA accounting course, which I have been terribly neglectful about.

Ann McCaffrey, David Drake, CS Lewis, Madeline L'Engle, Nietzsche, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Xanth, Tolkein, Pern, The Sword of Shanara, Elfstones of Shannara, Thieves World saga - Fahrfred & the grey mouser, Nancy Holzner, Dostoevsky in English,
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
NCIS, CSI...I watched The Crow, New Moon and went back and covered Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I still love Star Trek in most of its forms, and a great deal of Star Wars memorabilia.

There is some car part that looks like a space station, "say it that way."

From a crime fiction novel author where murder was not the crime....

Like so many of us, while quick to learn some skills in other ways I seem to be a bit slow, especially if I don't just keep going way after having grown angry and frustrated...but calming down before even trying to proceed.  One example of this is the time involved with catching on to things like blogging.

well, you can only keep plugging away, that's what i do! i'm always on the BBC, so that's good at least - though not sure it yields book sales, but publicity is publicity! i've launched a web TV channel "Mitzi TV" and i am putting all my efforts into that. have a look when you get a chance! http://mitziszereto.com/tv

Ayo & Suzanne: can you both read these?...Thank you for your comments. I wrote the novel for a general fiction market not as a niche traditional crime story.

Do you feel this is inapproriate for crimespace? This is new territory for me.

Hi Miriam,

I am afraid that that I will only review proof copies of books. I have had too many problems where unpublished authors have not liked my comments regarding their books so now I have found that it is safer if the book is sent via the publisher.
