Profile Information

Hometown:
Indianapolis, Indiana
About Me:
Veteran (Viet Nam - USAF - Military Police).
Happily Divorced (I'm sure my ex-wife is, at least).
Retired Chief Investigator for a prominent Coral Gables (FL) Law firm, specializing in Criminal Defense.

While working for the law firm, I Co-Authored "DAVID JANSSEN - MY FUGITIVE", with ELLIE JANSSEN, the Golden Globe Winning, Emy Nominated late actor. With the moderate success of the Janssen book, and the retirement of my boss, I decided to make a career change and WRITE. Now, I write of something I know. Detective novels based on true cases.

DETECTIVE MIKE WALSH makes his debut in THE EXECUTION of JUSTICE (Blue Line Publishing House, Inc. - February, 2009). Based on the true story of a close friend of mine, a Robbery & Homicide detective sergeant in the Indianapolis Police Department, brutally murdered while attempting to arrest a gang of robbery-murder suspects. After the two killers are convicted, it takes years to carry out the sentences - death. The first triggerman became the last person executed in Indiana's Electric Chair. Two years later, the second killer became the first person executed in Indiana by Lethal Injection.

In September, 2009, Mike Walsh reappears as the Chief Investigator for a criminal defense law firm in Miami. He is assigned to investigate the murder of a winning horse racing jockey in a small western Kentucky town. Eight years after the jockey's murder, his widow and son-in-law, and her nephew are charged with the crime. Can Mike Walsh uncover evidence to keep them out of Kentucky's electric chair?

Thanks, the best to you to. Yes, had a pretty uneventful Christmas, ate a couple of punds of baklava while watching Young Franky with a buddy of mine from downstairs. I am divorced and my former spouse was probably at my daughter's fully occupying her, and my son was celebrating with his buddies in the Big Apple. So, here I was, back to my bachelor days. Almost alone. But, that was just great by me. Oh, I do miss my kids. A lot too...
Thinking of taking a little vaca down in S. America. Rio or some other interesting local.
BTW, as I already wrote you, I like very much your artistic modification of the perfect picture...hahaha. Hey, you must admit that girl looks real cute in all that plumage and fire. And you had to change it, right? Just had to. And--I do like it. Like I said, make the colors more stand out, especially those reds and blacks too. I like the way you changed her to Raven. You're great, Mike. That's what I wanted to ask you for but had no courage to impose....
Best again for the New Year...

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
