About Me:
I live in Melbourne, Australia and developed a passion for crime fiction and story telling at an early age. This interest was backed up with formal education through a Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences (with majors in psychology and criminology) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Writing (creative writing).

I've been writing for ages but had my first book, Body Count, published in May 2005. The book's now been released in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany and France.

Here in Australia, I've just released my third book (Fan Mail) and my second book, The Murderers' Club is available overseas too. All three books feature Aussie FBI profiler Sophie Anderson.

I've also worked as a professional writer for nearly ten years, writing award-winning copy for brochures, newsletters, websites, training CD-ROMs, flyers, ads, media releases and magazines.

As the voting deadline got closer, a clear leader began to emerge for my first question: What sparks Sophie to investigate her brother’s murder? And it seemed that option A had it: After 28 years with no abductions or murders similar to… Continue

The countdown is on

With only a few days to go, it seems the basic premise for the first chapter of Coming Home has been decided. Thanks to everyone who’s voted so far!

What sparks Sophie to investigate her brother’s murder? Thirty percent of voters went for: After 28 years with no abductions or murders similar to John’s a young boy is abducted (or found dead) in very similar circumstances.

The two options coming in equal second are only at 18%, so I can’t imagine they’ll topple option A. Which means it’s time to… Continue

Review: Exit Strategy by Kelley Armstrong

In this week’s blog I’m going to review a book I finished a couple of days ago, Exit Strategy by Kelley Armstrong.

Kelley Armstrong is better known for her paranormal books and series (including the Women from the Otherworld Series), but Exit Strategy is about a hitman…well, actually a few hitmen, a couple of hitwomen and a serial killer.

The main character, Nadia Stafford, is an ex-cop turned hitwoman/vigilante. Of course, being a hitwoman isn’t a position of natural reader… Continue

Hi, thanks for accepting my friend request. I really enjoy reading Evanovich, I still haven't read the latest installment though.

I agree that the truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, and often more so!

No worries Phillipa - thanks for letting me. I hear we might be catching up at the Crime & Justice Festival - I'm not sure if you were at the Sisters In Crime event the other night - it was such a crowded room I couldn't see who was there and who wasn't :)

No worries, Phillipa (I spelt it right this time).

My novel will come out ... well, first, I have to finish it. Then find an agent/publisher, etc. :)
