An Alternative to Book Trailers

I agree, Jordan. Your genre and even your brand can be shown in a trailer, but your writing style is best shown in blogs, social networks and first chapters on your website. Your trailer is really...

Matt has Connolly nailed. I first found out about him when I was asked to review The Black Angel. Started it, thinking, "Ick. Supernatural thriller. Don't like those much." Kept at it because the quality of the writing was so good. Pretty soon I w...

I'll just add to the suggestion that you read John Connolly. I love his books. John writes crime thrillers, but with a literal edge that no one else touches in my opinion. To get a full understanding of the Charlie Parker character, and of Louis a...

Not at all, Matt! I'd be willing to bet that my interview questions are VERY different from Janices's. And it targets a different audience.

Hi Sheila,
My name is Lee Martin and I am also a member of Crime Space. I see you're from Kentucky. I was born in Lexington and my Dad was born and raised in Maysville. There are a lot of nice people on Crime Space. If you get a chance, my website is justanothercase.com
I am a retired Forensic Crime Scene Investigator and have written and had published my first book. The cases I talk about are based on true cases I have worked but with a special twist............the ghost/spirit of one of my victims comes back to me and joins me on some of my cases(that's the fiction part - haha)

Talk to ya later,
Lee

Hi Sheila,
Circle of Seven Productions is a well constructed site. I didn't find an area where I could download or link to your videos (not youtube). I operate bookstores. I was considering imbedding/linking a few of your trailers into the book section of my website.

Hi Sheila,

Nice to hear back from you. I know it takes a lot of time to go over everything in Crime Space. I'm still digging around here and there. Which site did you look at? Was it the Crime Space page or the actual website? The website is the first one I've done, so I'm not sure how it looks to others.

I see you are from Kentucky. I was born in Lexington, but raised in a Southern suburb of Chicago. My Dad was born and raised in Maysville, Ky. Do you know where that is?

As I am a first time author, I'm trying like hell to promote my book. One thing I've found out is ......it's not easy !!!!! I'm constantly racking my brain to help promote sales and get the word out about my book. I guess I'm no J.K. Rawlings with a Harry Potter series (haha). I've sold a few copies in the U.K. along with state side, but not near enough to suit me.....ya know what I mean? I guess time will tell.

Anyway, how did you come across Crime Space?
Guess I will close for now, I'm not intending to start another novel here (haha).

Talk to ya later,
Lee
