About Me:
Shane Gericke's crime thriller CUT TO THE BONE launches worldwide in June. BLOWN AWAY, his 2006 debut from Kensington, became a national bestseller three weeks after launch, with Chinese, Slovak and Turkish translations (and their WAY-cool covers!) and was named the nation's best debut mystery of 2006 by Romantic Times Book Reviews. Shane spent 25 years as a journalist, most prominently at the Chicago Sun-Times, before switching to thrillers. He also writes for national magazines. He lives in the Chicago suburb of Naperville, and asks you to visit him at www.shanegericke.com

Books And Authors I Like:
John Sandford, Robert B. Parker, Gayle Lynds, Tom Wolfe, Mark Bowden, Lee Child, Dennis Lehane, Laura Lippman, Stephen Hunter and Robin Burcell. My favorite book of all time is "The Tower Treasure" by Franklin W. Dixon. It's the first detective book I ever read, and given to me by my wonderful, recently departed grandmother. I still get a kick out of the zany line art that illustrates 1950s-era Hardy Boy books!
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
24, Law and Order, Das Boot, Patton, Hoosiers, Starship Troopers, The Right Stuff, Double Indemnity, Tombstone, Caddyshack, Animal House, Stripes, The Towering Inferno, and any old rocket-ship/atomic movies from the 1950s.

Ha! Found you old buddy! There appears to be a little problem, Shanester. You are listed in the "Members" section, but not the "Authors" section. Must have been a glitch in your sign up process. I think you may have neglected to check an extra box or something, hehe.

Hi Shane
I've heard so many good things about your work on the mystery lists. It's good to put your face with your name.
Congratulations on your successes!

PS Since I read the second one first, will I still be surprised if I read the first book second? :-)

Hi Shane, I just finished Cut to the Bone and really enjoyed it..unfortunately, there was sort of a spoiler on either the BN or Amazon website, so I sort of knew what was going on, but I enjoyed the twist at the end! Hope more books come quickly.

Hi Shane,
No - no desire to go back. I still do a fair amount of freelance, which keeps my hand in just enough. I miss the newsroom camaraderie but not the deadline craziness. And you?

Thanks, Clea and Rick. I've been on the road doing book promotion for awhile, which is why I haven't visited Crimespace for some time. But in-between stuff I'm checking, and found these very nice notes. Thanks!

It is Shane who does the work of the Angels. He gives a lot of his time for charity.
And writes award-winning blood-chilling books.
