Profile Information

Hometown:
A bit of a nomad, now currently in the Green Bay WI area
About Me:
I'm formerly from California and Utah, and now reside in the mid-west. I love to laugh, write, drink wine, enjoy good company, listen to music, watch movies and some tv shows (although most stuff is crap). I'm not normally into the run of the mill stuff, so if everybody and their dog likes it, it's probably not my cup of tea.

Anyone sending friend requests, please be patient--I will get to them in time. Also, I don't randomly add friends, so if I've accepted your request, then I definately feel we have something in common. If I decline, I just didn't see anything in your profile that grabbed me. LIfe is short, and I probably won't have time to peruse my friends list often anyhow.

Books And Authors I Like:
Christa Faust is my current obsession. Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine was a past obsession, and I was once again reminded of her when I walked into the library recently . . . Anais Nin is another favorite. Not so much her erotica, but here novels speak to me. The theme of disconnectedness and taking things too personally really speaks to me.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
As far as TV goes, I mostly enjoy British Comedy (esp BlackAdder, One Foot in the Grave, and Father Ted), as well as some crime dramas such as Law & Order (depending on the episode, I've enjoyed all incarnations) and the british miniseries Prime Suspect (but then, I'm also a huge fan of Helen Mirren's and I appreciate the way they tackled transgenderism in one of the series). I also enjoy good horror (Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby), campy horror from the 60's and before, and a lot of weird stuff. Lost In Translation is a favorite--reminds me of the disconnected feeling that haunted me when I was younger. A feeling that fascinates me, although I would never wish to relieve that feeling.
