I live in one of the trendiest villes in the world. But personally? I'm a slow -- even retrograde – trendster.
In the 80s, I heard a lot about gyms. In the 00s, I tried one.
It was kind of cool, you know, having a lot of machines you could use all in one place?
In the late 90s, I heard about blogging. And now here I am, offering up wowzas that may be snoozas to those of you who have been here for decades. But gee, is it fun to type a few thoughts on the screen…

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.
> Your note is the latest in a series of CUPID kismets... I walked past a group of black-tie clad folks standing on the steps of NYC's Puck Building. Intrigued, I asked what they were doing.
"It's a wedding!" said a puckish looking man. "Wanna dance"
Seconsd later, I found myself dancing (in a jean skirt) at a stranger's black tie wedding.
"My name is Jimmy Love," my cupid said as we danced.
Any chance you have NYC relatives who invite strangers to dance? :)
He's probably a distant cousin. His behavior confirms it. Love DNA lacks the shyness gene. Most American Loves are part of the Scottish Clan McKinnon, "You can always tell a Scott, but you can't tell him much." The McKinnons are even more so. Loves are well known to grab a lass for a dance whenever possible. We are also known for looking good in kilts. Quite regimental, the lot.
Love men are known to have a weakness for redheads. My several lifetimes partner Nance is a redhead. From a wee lad, my dad used to tell me "Beware of redheads with black underwear." It wasn't until I was a teen that I asked "How am I supposed to tell what color underwear she's wearing?"
After a decade of prepping the joke, dad finally got to tell the punch line. "By the time you know, it's too late!"
I hope cupid finds your happy spot and sets you free! It must have been a sight to see, you in a jean-skirt, and him in a tux, dancing outside the Puck building. That is definitely a Love story.
Cool to see you here. And I love the pi.
