On my blog tonight is a little musing about three characters I write.  Two homicide cops and a professional killer.  And the more vocal fans who prefer the killer.  So what does that say about those who read the genre?

The rules of writing.  Seems like everyone is coming up with a list of rules on how to write the prefect story.  I have a list.  But I don't call them rules.  Rules sounds so coldly efficient, don't you think?  Mine are 'suggestions.'  Take a look at them and tell me what you think.

A series I'm trying to write is based off a guy I actually knew.  And didn't know at the same time.  A stranger with a smiling face whom I knew since I was born.  Yet someone holding back a big portion of their life no one knew about.

Writing is a mystery.  And the fame that comes to one writer and bypasses another even a greater mystery to contemplate.

We have a great writer here in Crimespace.  She writes a wonderful set of novels called the Sugwara Akitada series.  Her name is I.J. Parker. If you are into historical detectives, her Akitada novels are for you.  The best of the best.
