On Memorial Day we must all remember that the story of America's quest for freedom is inscribed on her history in the blood of her patriots. Poet Maya Angelou reminded us how important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!
So take some time during your long weekend to visit the resting place of some of our lost service members. And when you're standing at one of the markers or head stones, stop and listen. As Aaron Kilbourn said, the dead soldier's…

Think Atlanta summer Olympics –
Richard Jewell – a victim of a ‘trial by media.’
Eric Robert Rudolph was later found to have been the bomber, and does his name even ring a bell? He pled guilty to that bombing, as well as several others. The mayor of Atlanta publicly thanked Jewell in 2006, recognizing him as the hero we all initially thought he was. Almost exactly a year…

The book signing at the Borders in the Annapolis Mall was short but sweet. I was there for two hours and signed all of the books they had ordered. It was also time enough for me to be visited by a couple of old friends who were in the area, which always makes it more fun. I'm looking forward to my next visit there, when the managers assure me they'll have more of my titles in the store.

I've been attempting to write for years with nothing really ever being completed. I started this year setting a goal for myself that I would finish something. I'm going to post an extract of what I've got so far. Word count as of 30th May 2010 is around 17,000 words. I'm going to post Chapter 5. It's still a rough draft. I'll go over everything when I'm finished.
Working Title: Cohesion.

The cop show I worked on last year in Toronto, The Bridge, has finally been officially added to the CBS summer schedule and will debut on Saturday, July 10th at 8:00 pm.
Here is the show's description from CBS:
THE BRIDGE is a drama about a tough and dedicated police officer who is voted to become the police union's dynamic leader. To serve the public as well as his 8,000 fellow officers, charismatic Frank Leo (Aaron Douglas) battles criminals on the street,…

Malcolm Muggeridge (an old English literateur) once said that George Orwell “was no good as a novelist, because he didn’t have the interest in character.” Well, I didn’t need to tell you who George Orwell was, so you may doubt the judgment of the largely forgotten Muggeridge.
