Question: How important is a You Tube video to the sale of a story?

I need to ask you as a reader, is: ”A You Tube video important to you? Does it help in your purchasing decision?”, How much does it sway you to push that button to make the purchase?”

Trestle Press has not been using its You Tube page much to this point. Some of the authors have been making videos lately in the hopes of increasing sales, or just getting their work more visibility. We would like your feedback on not just what goes into your decision to make the buy on an author’s work but what role does the video play in it if at all?

Do you seek them out?

Are they a valuable tool for you?

What elements in the video are important for you as a reader and consumer?

What turns you off as a viewer?

Would you like to see more of the author than just the basics of the story?

We at Trestle Press are looking for your feedback on this. Feel free to email us; comment here where you find the post, or just go to our Facebook or You Tube page and leave your thoughts. We would appreciate it very much.

I don't know how effective promo videos are, but they sure are fun to make. Here's mine:
