The Poisoned Pen Web Con is billed as the "First International Online Mystery Writers Convention," and it happens on Saturday, October 24th. It's sponsored by Poisoned Pen Press, and I'm surprised not to see more people from CrimeSpace signed up. Toni Keltner is the only CrimeSpace name I recognize. (Toni, I tried e-mailing you to invite you to be on a panel, but your e-mail is coming back as undeliverable.)

It's only $25 to register, and there will be all sorts of events in varied formats - text, audio and video. I'm moderating two "text panels," and communicating with authors from all over the U.S. Deadline has already passed to moderate or be on panels, but there's still time to register as an individual author. If you register before Sept. 30th, you can still have your name up there with an author's page and info about your books. You can still register after that, but you probably wouldn't have an author's page.

Go to www.ppwebcon.com to learn more. If you register, please tell them that I referred you. You can also visit my blog at the link below to read more about the conference. Good luck!

I'll be there!
I signed up two day go
Whew! I finished my two virtual text panels for Web Con over the weekend, and now I can sit back and relax. I don't envy the authors who have the daunting task of uploading all the info before the event goes live on October 24th - it was challenging enough just putting the panels together! I had fun e-mailing back and forth with the authors, though. Here are the panels:

Social Issues: Do they elevate or detract?
Julie Lomoe, Moderator
Judy Clemens
Ann Parker
L.J. Sellers
Nancy Means Wright

First Person? Third Person? Single or Multiple Voices?
The rewards and pitfalls of point of view

Julie Lomoe, Moderator
Deb Baker
Mary Anna Evans
Vicki Lane
Beverle Graves Myers

Checking the web site, I see Nevada Barr recently registered - this event is getting more and more exciting! Still time to register for $25.

I'll be there with my antidote fer poison
Still time to sign up for this event. At only $25, it's a bargain. I've just been reading all the posts about Bouchercon, and it makes me glad I've opted for this webcon instead. They've got a page for me on their site now, with a link to my blog, and it'll stay up for at least a year - a much better investment, IMHO, than a live conference.
