I'm so excited! My new book, HIGH CRIMES ON THE MAGICAL PLANE isn't officially published until 10/16. But tonight I will be one of the Guests of Honor, along with regional author and former Newsweek reporter James Bishop, at the kickoff ceremony for the First Annual Sedona Book Festival, and tomorrow I'll join 100+ other authors for the Festival, so my publisher rushed the printing to have books available for tonight and tomorrow. Barbara Peters and Rob Rosenwald of the Poisoned Pen store and PP Press will be the keynote speakers tonight.

So far the reviews and blurbs have been great for HIGH CRIMES. I'm especially blown away by the blurbs from Diana Gabaldon and Charlaine Harris.

Wish me luck with my speeches tonight and tomorrow, okay?

I so wish I could gather in Indiana with those of you who are B'con- bound, but it makes more sense to begin my tour here in AZ now. But I hope to see some of you at LCC and Malice.
