I'm always on the lookout for new audiobooks. Just liking the author isn't always enough; you've gotta like the reader. To give you an idea of what I'm into, check out FUN AND GAMES, by Duane Swierczynski, read by Pete Larkin; and THE SERIALIST: A NOVEL, by David Gordon, read by Bronson Pinchot. Both of these readers do an excellent job, especially Pinchot, who adds a whole new dimension to the story that could easily be overlooked in the print version. If anyone out there has some favorite readers and wouldn't mind sharing, let me know.

It's true that a reader can make or break a novel.  There are a few authors where I look first at the reader's name before I'll take it.

I think this is also true of translators.  It's amazing what can happen to your book when someone else mucks it up.
