Brought to mind by a post to CrimeSeen, here are my seven favorite P.I. movies of the past nine years. (Odd, get it?):

The Big Lebowski (Jeff Bridges)

Twilight (Paul Newman, James Garner, Susan Sarandon)

Zero Effect (Bill Pullman, Ben Stiller)

Memento (Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss)

The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (Woody Allen)

Brick (Joseph Gordon-Leavitt)

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer)

I'm using P.I. loosely here, I know. Feel free to discuss or make a list of your own.

Finally! Someone else who has heard of Zero Effect! I'm a fan of noir, like The Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep, but Bill Pullman was fantastic in this one! And Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was fantastic as well. So, I have no new ones to add but now I'm going to search out Zero Effect!
The Big Lebowski has become too much of a cult film for seeing it on this list to surprise me. It did my heart good to see someone else enjoy Twilight and Zero Effect as much as I did.
To that list, I'd add "Out of Time" and "Blood Work."
