About Me:
Avon/Harpercollins launched Jordan Dane’s debut suspense novels in a back to back publishing event in Spring 2008 after the 3-book series sold in auction. Ripped from the headlines, Jordan's gritty plots weave a tapestry of vivid settings, intrigue, and dark humor. Publishers Weekly compared her intense pacing to Lisa Jackson, Lisa Gardner, and Tami Hoag—romantic suspense that “crosses over into plain thriller country”. Pursuing publication since 2003, this national best selling author received awards in 33 national writing competitions, including Best Book of 2008 by Publishers Weekly in Mass-Market for her debut novel. Formerly an energy sales manager in the oil and gas industry, she now is following her passion to write full time. Jordan and her husband share their residence with two cats of highborn lineage and the sweet memory of an impossible to forget canine.

The Sweet Justice Series - Overview
The Sweet Justice thrillers will focus on the lives and loves of three women—a bounty hunter operating outside the law, an ambitious vice cop, and a former international operative with a mysterious past. These women give Lady Justice a whole new reason to wear blinders. And their brand of justice is anything but sweet.

Sweet Justice Series - Book #1
In EVIL WITHOUT A FACE, an illusive web of imposters on the Internet lures a deluded teen from her Alaskan home and launches a chain reaction collision course with an unlikely tangle of heroes who uncover a terrifying global conspiracy. They’re battling a new kind of criminal. And soon their race for answers will become a dangerous struggle for survival.

Sweet Justice Series - Book #2
In THE WRONG SIDE OF DEAD, the mysterious computer wizard Seth Harper is framed for a heinous murder and becomes a sacrificial lamb to a ruthless killer. And between his gaps in memory and reluctance to reveal his secrets, fugitive recovery agent Jessica Beckett, vice cop Sam Cooper and international operative Alexa Marlowe have an uphill battle to help the boy genius. But Harper’s plight is not what it seems. And with one fatal mistake, more innocent lives could wind up on the wrong side of dead.

Movies And TV Shows I Like:
I have too many movie favorites to mention. Love the escapism of movies…and Goobers. I used to watch more TV, but these days, I prefer to explore the 3lbs of gray matter in my own head. World building, travel, research for new material, reading other authors’ brilliance, and spending face time with friends and family take up my hours when I’m not writing.

    Hey Jordan,

How goes it J.D.? Sold any books lately? I'm gonna crack open a new Scotch. It's Friday, and I've been working so very hard...and did I mention it's Friday???
  • Karyn J. Powers

Are you working yourself toward the next life, or taking time for fun?
  • Karyn J. Powers

Welcome back! Make sure you stake your sled dogs far enough apart before you feed them. After such a long journey from the 49th to the lower 48 states, they will be tired and cranky and prone to nip! And given the state of travel today...who could blame them!
  • Terri

Love the look of your page, Jordan!

Heading to Sisters in Crime "Forensic's U" tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. Happy Halloween!

I might lose my room for that. SIC is holding the For. U at one of her daddy's holdings. Sleeping under the highway was one of the few things I gave up for Lent that ever really "took." If I lose my bed, I'll be riding the airport shuttle until Sunday. Not a pretty thought... Still, I'll think of her in that disgusting washing the car commerical and BRAS Breath, relax, aim, shoot!
  • Charlotte Williamson

    Wow!
Jordan, you're an author who has really "made it." Congratulations! Your profile looks impressive.
  • Dennis Leppanen

    Hey, Budzo,

    You don't call---you never write...

I signed up for Sleuthfest, you must come. South Florida, at the end of February, is delightful.

    Yer ol' pal,
    Den

btw, I'm at 26,000 words in NaNo.
  • Charlotte Williamson

    Jordan (I love your name)
Thanks for extending your friendship. Any more tips on how to become sucessful like you?
  • Charlotte Williamson

Jordan, I've read your reviews. Excellent! People are already waiting for your next novel. Do you feel pressured into writing?
  • Charlotte Williamson

You go, Jordan! It's a tough world in the publishing and promotion business and you're one of those people who will come out on top because you're so motiviated. I'm motivated, also, but I get tired of traveling. If you're out of sight, you're out of mind in the eye of the readers (unless you're Arthur C. Doyle or Agatha Christie, or others like them)
  • Ken Isaacson

Thanks, Jordan! Just got the DVD of my interview yesterday, and spent a boatload of time figuring out how to convert it to the right format, and all that technical stuff...

    Hope all's well!
  • Charlotte Williamson

    Jordan,
How can you sell books without traveling and having booksignings? Let me know the secret. (You have an agent and a promotional agency. Right?)
I'm just getting into the publishing game, so I go eveyrwhere there's a bookfest or festival I can get into. Bookstores, etc., whoever will have me.
  • Charlotte Williamson

Just checked out you website. AWESOME!! No wonder you are where you are. I wish I had hours to spent on the computer remy writing, but I have a full-time job. That takes up about nine hours a day, so there's not much time or energy left over in the evening to spent on the computer. I try to write at least a page a day. Other times are spent editing what I wrote last week. It's a vicious circle.
Anyway, thought I'd tell you how awesome your website is. Who designed it?
  • Todd Robinson

Thanks much, Jordan. Glad you enjoy the site and glad for the friendship.
  • Dennis Leppanen

    'Thin Ice"---huh. I'm a Yooper.

I dunno about Macho---dumber than a stump? Ya, you betcha.

The ice I like to hear tinkles in my tumbler seconds before the scotch---which reminds me. Toodles...
  • Dennis Leppanen

    Merry Christmas, Jordan.
  • JackBludis

Happy New year back atcha ... I'm almost there in more ways than one.
  • Dennis Leppanen

Back at ya' Budzo. We are starting the year off with some much needed rain. Our annual rainfall is over 40 inches and we had less than ten last year.

To Peace & Torrid Sales in 08'---I remember back in 01 when some of these eggs were just getting fertilized, now we have some babies getting set to introduce us to the reading public.

    Best wishes,
    d

Hi Jordan, Nice to make contact you have been on my 'MySpace' site for ages. Seems like you are in the midst of a very exciting time! Good luck for 2008.
  • Darren Laws

I am optimistic for 2008 too. It must be great to have the support of Harper Collins. Enjoy, enjoy enjoy.
  • Rick Mofina

Jordan - a high five on the Capone quote - loved your remark. Thanks for accepting my invite - all the best to you
  • Kathryn Lilley

Hi Jordan, I laughed out loud at the video about the writer and the agent...fabulous!
  • Susan Whitfield

    Jordan, to you as well.
  • Dennis Leppanen

    Jordan,

Finished No One Heard Her Scream... When I was up in Michigan visiting my mother, who had fell & broke her pelvic bone.

Any who, where do you want me to post the revue. Amazon? Send it to you? Both? I am proud of you. It was a well-written, tense read with a hot-pantsed detective drooling over the main suspect. My word, where do you conjure that...?

He pops the cap of his latest acquisition of Malt.
  • Dennis Leppanen

Huh? I forgot to say, I'll be going to Sleuthfest this Thursday, so I will get to it, next weekish...
  • Dennis Leppanen

September? I was thinking the middle of the month we'd head to Tennessee, thinkin' weather-wise. Yes, let me know we will coordinate...

I did tell you we built a place in the Upper Cumberlands? We must furnish it and landscape, we needed a stop-off between Florida & Meeshigan...

Gotta go, my ice is melted...
  • JackBludis

A big "Hi." Loved "No One Heard Her Scream." How did I get it? I know somebody.
  • JackBludis

Who said I knew the author?
  • Dennis Leppanen

Okay---fine. I'm setting the alarm for 4:00 am, I just didn't finish my work today. I'm going to pack tonight, that way I can still make Sleuthfest before nine.
  • Dennis Leppanen

    Will do, Bud. Thanks.
  • L.J. Sellers

    Hi Jordan
Love your page here. Congratulations on your book deals and great reviews. I expect to be hearing a lot about you in the future.
  • L.J. Sellers

The call of the wild can be very powerful. A boyfriend left me once for Alaska. Any my son was stationed there for most of his military service and fell in love with the place. I'm very found of sunlight, so Oregon is great compromise. Thanks for the good wishes. This is going to be my year.
  • Loraine

    Hi Jordan,
It's great to see you here too.
Can't wait to read No One Heard Her Scream.
By the way, I love the book trailer :)
  • Louisa Christy

    Jordan,
I screamed in my local bookstore when I saw your book on the shelf today, well, yesterday. I was soooo excited!!!! I love your picture in the back, it is and so are you, gorgeous! I am off to read it now, even though it is almost 2 am. I would have read it earlier, however, I was horribly distracted by household duties. I have been out of town and house 5 out of the last six months. I can't find most things under the dust or where my poor husband has had to guess where to put things. Does that make sense? Anyway, congrats, Girlfriend, your day is finally here.
  • L.J. Sellers

    Just saying Hi
I've picked up some fiction editing clients recently, so I'm feeling optimistic that I wont' have to give up my new-found freedom and writing time.
Life is good. Hope your novel sells like crazy!
  • Karyn J. Powers

At last Barnes and Noble could lift the restraining order they had on me for hanging around all the time pestering the staff while waiting for your book! I picked up my copy on Friday. Ccongratulations, lady!
  • Dennis Leppanen

I'm real sorry to hear about your dog. I know how attached one can get to their pet.

I had a wild snowshoe hare at my cabin in Michigan. It sat on the picnic table and ate pizza crust out of my hand. Someone shot it last winter...then told me about it. I was just a tad upset...
  • Jordan Dane

Ahhh, sorry to hear about your rabbit. I love them. Raised them when I was a kid. It's been really hard to get past this with my dog. I hear her everywhere but it also reminds me how much I loved her and what she gave us in return. But filling the hole in my heart will take time. Thanks for being you, Denny.
  • Terri

Hey Girl! It was reallly good to meet you at RWA this year. I really enjoyed chatting with you as well as attending your workshops.
Best of luck with the new books!

    Terri
  • Regina Williams

Jordon, thank you so much for speaking to the Ozarks Writers League. You were wonderful. I don't remember ever having a better speaker. I'm still getting comments on how much everyone loved your presentation. Thank you. Do keep us informed about your new books coming out. It was so great to meet you and get to know you. You are a delight and I'm honored to call you my friend.
  • Jennifer Jackson

Hi, Jordan -- I definitely have to add Burn Notice to my list. That's a great show. I just put a couple quick ones on my list when I was setting up the account last night. Anyway, I'm actually watching the finale tonight because I haven't been able to yet.
  • Dennis Leppanen

    Hey Great Dane,

I'm so proud of you when I see your books in my local book store. Sorry, I couldn't stick around in Michigan for your tour.

My computer crashed a week ago, & I've been in a melluva hess. I lost too much new stuff. Drats.

I haven't had a chance to send up a revue of your second one yet, but I will.

    Happy Trails,
    The D MONSTER
