So glad to hear that you have novel "doing the rounds of publishers." Best wishes on that.
The character discussion is fascinating. I always start out with a "character sheet," but soon abandon it as the story and characters evolve. My novels do tend to be plot driven, though.
What an honest introduction you've given yourself. I'm no expert but happy for you to ask me anything that you think I might know.
