My poor, neglected CrimeSpace...

I feel just terrible. If you were my children, the DCFS would have hauled you all away by now, and with good reason.

First things last:

The lovely Patti Abbott recently tossed down the gauntlet to write a flash-fiction incorporating that smash hit by The Eurythmics, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)." Here is my entry, hosted at Powder Burn Flash by the virile Aldo Calcagno: "Everybody's Looking for Elisa…

Busy week.

So, kicking off the week in style, Dan O'Shea's flash fiction challenge hit the interwebs like a shotgun full of rock salt. The challenge was to write a flash-fiction that took place in some sort of place of worship. All comers brought all kinds of evil, and you can check out the whole God-damned rundown right here. Christopher Grant was kind enough to host my entry, entitled…

Nice job on the Thug Lit story. And I dig the comic blog. Did you catch Swierczynski's run on the Punisher? Pretty cool stuff. Had a Guy Richie vibe to it, but less wise-crackie.

Dine away, sir. The Certificate of Thy Props go to you for getting me into this genre. Your two flashers were intriguing and were what got me interested in Flash Fiction Offensive. From there, I found great writing. I couldn't help but try my hand at it.

Thanks for kind words about "Purgatory" too!

This lazy bastard has taken digs up at FFO. Check it out! It's called "Purgatory at the Pump 'n' Loaf."

The first submission is away to Flash Front Offensive. Thanks again for the tips. If nothing else, I found a great place online to read fiction. Good writing to you!

Thanks for the advice, Jimmy. I liked the two flashers you posted the other day. They were fast and to the point. This is a genre I could get into.

Dude:

Congrats on joining the PWG alumni -- I's going to submit something new to Neil soon, just cranking out the revision for my second.

CHARLEY VARRICK is an under-rated gem, thanks for doing the homage to it bro
