About Me:
I'm a reader, especially of crime, travelogues, memoirs, and anything else that tickles my fancy. I spend too much time on the computer, but that is how I have found many of the books I've loved over the past few years. In real life I work for a theatre company. And my picture isn't me, it's my lovely dog Lois. She's much cuter than I am.

I just barely started Pig Island by Mo Hayder.

However, my mind and heart are still tied up with K. j. a. Wishnia's Filomena Buscarsela series. This is one of the best series I have ever read. The characters changed and developed and grew up over time; large amounts of time passed without the author filling in the missing years - almost like dropping in on an old friend; the author wrote as if I, the reader, had a brain and could deal with new information all on my own and…

Matt Beynon Rees, The Collaborator of Bethlehem

I just started it late last night, and then quickly fell asleep on top of it, so no opinons yet.

I did, however, just add some fabulous new toys to my office, including Spider Spud. The newest potato head joins Darth Tater, Spud Trooper, and R-2 Potatoo. I also just got two new sets of Galactic Heroes, which I am thrilled by.

Natasha Cooper, Evil is Done

I am so annoyed by the main character, but I'm still reading the book to find out what happens. I also read Ken Bruen's Priest over the weekend, which was just as enjoyable as I had expected it to be. Jack Taylor can't buy a break, can he?

And, alas, basketball season ended yesterday in a most pitiful and painful way for this Carolina fan. It's just too distressing to dwell on, and November is so far away. However, it will…

K. J. A. Wishnia, Soft Money

Nothing makes me happier than finding a series I like and plowing through all of the books. In order. Happily, this series seems to fit the bill. Because of my financial situation - poor - I try and read books from the library as much as possible. My library often tortures me, however, by not having all the books in a series. Luckily, I had some birthday money and bought several books missing from the library; 23 Shades of Black was one…

K. J. A. Wishnia, 23 Shades of Black

I spent soooo many hours glued to the NCAA tournament this weekend that I'm having withdrawal symptoms today. But my team survived to play another day - Friday! - and I can hang on until then. Go Heels!
