About Me:
I'm a writer...unpublished at the moment, but currently looking for an agent. I'm trying to work on the second book, but since it's a sequel, the stress of not knowing if the first book will sell is bogging me down a bit. I'm sure I'll get over it. Just another writing "thing" to work through.

Books And Authors I Like:
I'll stick with favorite authors here, as getting into specific books would take too much space. Stephen R. Donaldson, Lee Child, Orson Scott Card, Ken Follett, J.D. Rhoades, C.S. Lewis, George Orwell and Dr. Seuss. Diverse enough?
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
My favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, American History X, L.A. Confidential, American Beauty, Requiem for a Dream, Glory and Big Fish.
My favorite TV shows are mostly older, since my kids hog the boob tube now. Seinfeld, The Simpsons, The X-Files, and The Tick (animated version).

We all need comradery...

So, last night, I watched my beloved Florida Gators dispose of Ohio State for the NCAA Basketball Championship, and it got me thinking. Well, to be completely honest, just about anything gets me thinking, but that's beside the point.

For those of you not familiar with the Gators story, let me bore you with the details. Last season, a group of unknown Sophomores were charged with replacing some of the most talented, yet selfish, players in Florida history. Not much was expected of these… Continue

Enjoy your craft...

So, I'm getting ready to start another writing session, and I'm over my little bout of melancholy, and I have a new observation. Since I like hearing the sound of my own voice, which is what I feel like I'm getting when I write, I'll indulge myself and hope someone else gets something out of it. Otherwise, I'll just sit here and yell into the dark and imagine someone's out there. Sound crazy enough? Okay, here goes.

I have this bad habit when I write of turning on the television. It… Continue

Kudos to the published...

As I sit here, finishing up another writing session, I can't help but feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Writing is a taxing effort, and all the more so when you're dealing with a day job, a family and a myriad other time consuming activities.

You see, I'm a novelist wannabe, which means writing isn't paying the bills. Hell, I'm not even sure if being a published novelist would pay the bills. Anyway, I'm sure every one of you reading this, if anyone takes a moment out of their busy lives… Continue

I wish you the very best. That was so nice of you to share your Agent list. I know what you mean about a series. I'm working on one for a series (I hope)! Unpublished too--but at least you're finished and looking! Fingers crossed for you.
