About Me:
I like Gerolsteiner mineral water, Utz thin pretzels and the color maroon. I worked at Wendy's for two weeks and never really quit so I wonder... If I come to the door in pjs, it's not because I have the flu; it's because I'm a writer and I can.

My Baltimore crime novel is currently on submission to some fabulous editors. I also have a short story up at Shots UK. You can stop by on Thursdays to the blog I share, www.good-girls-kill.com.

I was a British CWA Debut Dagger finalist in 2005 and a Malice Domestic Grant winner in 2004, writing as McLean Jacobson.

I live in the Baltimore/DC metro area with the kiddies and my husband, a Baltimore City Police commander.

This Crime's Big Enough for the All of Us

Today, over on www.good-girls-kill.com, I'm posting about Baltimore. Already the discussion has started, with thoughts on the challenges a writer faces when writing "his/her" city. Join in here, or pop over there. I'd love to hear what you think.

Denise Mina is a doll. She’s one damn fine writer too. Glasgow - her town - has a growing heroin problem, and a rapidly rising murder rate. She told me and a…

Anyone else on submission?

Okay, all of you - I didn't say "into submission." I think that might be another Ning Ring altogether.

I've got a manuscript on submission right now (actually two, but only one as Regina). I alternate between wanting to puke and feeling pretty damn good about getting here after so long.

I've heard so many writers' submission stories, but I can't seem to get enough of them. Anyone want to share?

Hey Ayo - how's London? I can't wait for an excuse to fly back. Sigh.

Didn't win the Debut Dagger (only made the short-list), but there are so many Daggers - I figure one is in my future somewhere down the line!!! Any excuse to jet to London!

Gerolsteiners rocks! (note mineral pun) - Imagine getting a third of your calcium from a liter of water! I am such a soda freak - the bubbles let me pretend it's really Pepsi. As for Andy Griffith - didn't you just want an Aunt Bea of your own? And yes, it is relevant to this venue - Andy Taylor was the sheriff, after all.

Hey, I like Gerolsteiner, too! And Andy Griffith. Especially the old black and white ones.

Respectable? I guess that's before I was invited... although I must say, that's one fine-looking monkey.

Now this is a respectable number for dinner - maybe a few more if we bring in the ratty chairs from the garage?

Wanna help plan the menu?
