My pirate-detective novel is in pre-preduction stages.

Just heard from the publisher my novel, Ffolkes' Medicine is gearing up to go into the pre-preduction stages. From what it sounds like, it should see the light of day say somewhere around. . . oh . . . Spring of 2050?

Book recommendations

I'd like some crime recommendations. I tend to like character crime like Stephen Cannell, Harlen Coben or humor like Janet Evanovich. Not such a big fan of hard-boiled stuff. Carl Hiassen and Lee harris don't work so well for me. Does anyone have any suggestions.
