Hello everyone,
I am a new author recently published on Amazon. I
live in Red Lion, Pa. I am a wife of forty years, mother of four and
grandmother of six.
I have been reading since school days and always wanted to write a book.
Finally back in 2007 I had an idea for a mystery/thriller fiction novel
and began writing.
I entered the Amazon Breakthrough Novel contest but did not make it to
the second round. However, my book has been published and… Continue

As an author, my mind views everything I see, touch, taste, hear, and observe as potential material for a story-line. I don’t want to make you nervous, but I’m out there and I’m observing and jotting down notes about your clothes, your attitude, your humor, your kindness, or your quirkiness mixed together with somebody else’s traits. Be careful… check out my short guest blog on Tony-Paul's site. I'll introduce you to my sisters Detective Leslie Bolt and her twin Tasha from my novel Bolt Action,…

Not long ago a friend of mine commented that my travels to promote my books must be a great pleasure to me. “You just have to talk about yourself,” he sneered. “You must like that.”
I ignored the implied insult (until now). But it struck me that people might think book tours are literally ego-trips. Wrong on two counts.
First, it’s only on book tour that people will frequently come up to you and say that you look better in your jacket photo. In Aachen last year,…

They say truth is stranger than fiction, I can tell you coming from a nursing point of view this is very true. I am reminding of this at least three times a week while I'm working in the Emergency Room, If I used any of these examples I would have to water them down because most people would think I was really off my rocker if I told the truth. With the release of my new book "The Well Meaning Killer" I'm starting to roll in some reviews, and some reviewers are questioning Megan McKenna's…

I am thrilled to announce that after my agent, Sandra Bond, spent over a year and a half diligently trying to sell my new mystery series to various publishers in this disastrous economy, she has finally succeeded in finding a home for it at Midnight Ink Books ( http://midnightinkbooks.com/ ), the mystery imprint of Llewellyn Worldwide ( http://www.llewellyn.com/ ). We were getting feedback like "the concept for this series is fabulous and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the manuscript" followed by…

I'm thrilled that Caryl Harvey, a reviewer at the I Love A Mystery website, gave my second Claire Hanover gift basket designer mystery, TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET, a great review and recommended it to the website's readers. I especially liked the last paragraph:
"TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET is Beth Groundwater's second gift-basket-designer mystery. Groundwater's familiarity with Colorado ski resorts adds realism that roots her readers into her mystery. Her heroine Claire is great fun as an…
