Thanks, Dave. I'm assuming that you meant to call me Kevin, although a surprising number of people in the crime community accidentally call me Ken - do they secretly wish I was Ken Bruen? Bizarrely, Amazon Japan even lists my books as being collaborations between Kevin Wignall and Ken Wignall.

Thanks Joan. I've never read Ludlum but you're not the first to suggest a comparison. I think someone said, like Ludlum but shorter (referring to the books - I am of course taller than Ludlum, and indeed, still alive).

Actually, I remember passing the Crown Hotel last year and it looked a little more inviting. Whatever, the key is to keep drinking - dehydration is your enemy.
