A while back I submitted a short story to a publisher in Australia. She was doing an anthology called Short and Twisted.

Even though she was considering submissions from other countries, she did let us know that very few outside of the continent would probably get in. Mine was accepted. Which really shocked the crap out of me.

June 13th was the Launch date and yesterday I got my shipment of books in! And not only that, but on the back, where she had placed three excerpts of the stories, there was mine, leading the pack! I belong to a mystery writer's forum and the package was full of books all the forum members wanted me and my Aussie and forum mate, Rose-who also had a story accepted- to sign, so the next few days will be me signing my first autographs and mailing them off!

Forgive my raving, but this is my first story published in print format and I can't believe my good fortune! What a rush! I cannot imagine what the rest of you, with entire books, or dozens of stories under your belt must feel like!
