One in four Americans read no books last year

Writing tops poll of ideal jobs

Just wondered what people made of them.

Actually I cannot believe that 3 in four do read. Even if we don't ask what. Hell, I used to teach students who never read books.
As for the other: noting all the posts from people desperate to be published, the British scenario seems to fit the U.S. also.
Now I wonder how many of the would-be writers really don't read books much.
