When blogging, there are days when the first question is what to blog about.  Today is that type of day.  In real life, this is a re-playing a movie that I actually bought a copy of.  My son was with me for the earlier part of the day.  Right now it is dark out: it is 5:30pm local time.  The Germans are like the English in that they kept the 24 clock after the world wars - weird that in the end they agreed about that...This involves a side issue about misunderstanding when using different…

Oh, Those Blog Tours!

They'll tell you an author can't succeed without them, but at a certain point, this one sure wishes she could!

My blog tour for DEAD FOR THE MONEY starts this week, and the schedule is printed below. There are of course prizes if you're willing to visit blogs and make comments between now and June 7th (even comments on this blog will work). LL Publications provided invaluable help with the tour in the form of a publicist who contacted all the bloggers and made dates for me to visit.…

What's It Like to Be Dead?

The second Dead Detective Mystery, DEAD FOR THE MONEY, comes out on Friday, and the publicist for LL-Publishing has arranged a blog tour for me beginning in May. (This in itself is cool, because I've always had to arrange my own before.) In most of the posts, I'll be letting Seamus, Dead Detective, explain his view of things. I'll keep you apprised of the schedule as it develops.

So what is it like to be dead? There are so many possible answers that the mind boggles. Some say death is…

What Was I Thinking?

Some time ago, my editor at LL asked when I might be finished with the second book of the Dead Detective series. After a pseudo-scientifi process, I told her June. Wrong. Here's why. First, I am an incurable optimist. I tell myself that I will write for four hours/day, five days/week. That never happens, of course. Life intervenes. Second, creativity does not like being forced. Even if I could sit before my computer for four hours a day, five days a week, much of that time would be spent… Continue
