I’ve been looking forward to attending the Left Coast Crime convention in Denver (March 6 – 9), for the opportunity to hook up with old friends—especially the great group of people I met in Anchorage at Bouchercon—and to make new ones.
This week, I found out that I have another reason to anticipate the event: SILENT COUNSEL has been…

I never thought I'd be quoting Peter Pan, but in view of what I learned last night, I've gotta crow!
SILENT COUNSEL is now the No. 3 bestselling legal thriller on Amazon, behind only John Grisham's THE APPEAL, and Harper Lee's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
What awesome company!
I want to thank each and every one of you that's helped make this possible....

SILENT COUNSEL Tour – September 20
Borders
Paramus, NJ
The day started on Long Beach Island, where Sylvia and I usually enjoy a nice, quiet, post-season week by the ocean. That’s the secret, of course. Do it after Labor Day. LBI summers, for sure, have their good points, but they have the crowds, too. Late September, though, is just…

SILENT COUNSEL Tour - September 19
Borders
Scarsdale, NY
Let’s face it. Summer’s almost gone. There aren’t too many beautiful, sunny days left in the season, so the magnificent weather on Wednesday afternoon made the drive out to Scarsdale a treat. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to be on my motorcycle—but…

SILENT COUNSEL Tour - September 8
Mendham Books
Mendham, NJ
A little closer to home, Mendham Books is a pleasant independent bookstore in Morris County. Sylvia and I have visited there numerous times when Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark have been there signing, so it was a bit of a rush to be sitting behind the table I’ve…

Sherlock’s Tomes is the name, and Bridgeton, NJ is the place. What a wonderful little mystery bookstore, tucked away in a town I’d admittedly never heard of…

We had a wonderful launch at Partners & Crime in Greenwich Village, in New York. There was a great turn out—upwards of 70 people, which pleased me no end. (And…

With the release of SILENT COUNSEL just two months away, the calendar is filling up pretty quickly with signings. I'll be starting here in the New York/New Jersey area, and then heading out west to Bouchercon at the end of September. What a great opportunity to then stop in at places in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California (with the possibility of adding stops in Nevada and Arizona) before heading back home.
Here's what the schedule looks like so far. Hope you'll be able to make…
