Hi Julie, you made me wish I could go to Harrowgate, too... and smiled at the hugs. We also wish you were coming to Anchorage (along with all those others who ache to see Alaska but felt they couldn't afford it). I've never been to England! I only was in France for one weekend stuck in Paris after stupidly leaving my tote at the airport to get my bags at the baggage claim, and after leaving the area to find my bags had been automatically transferred to my flight back to the USA, I could not get back into the gates! Had no tote and thus no passport or plane tickets or i.d. or anything to get back! Was stuck in Paris at the American Embassy completely identity-less until the State Dept. and US Peace Corps (I was a returning Peace Corps Volunteer going home from my time in Africa) faxed the paperwork allowing me to get on a plane and get home. My tote was in New York, by the way. How I got on this long thing, I don't know, but hope to sometime visit when I'm not completely destitute and stranded. And so I will...some day. And hope you, too, will see Alaska!
Shite - I knew I was going to get caught out now :o) First thing I do in the morning is check my e-mail then check Crimespace, and I leave that wee window open all the time while my laptop is on!
Missed that black-kilt scenario on Saturday night, being in the midst of my six-hour marthon session with my editor from Transworld ... so give me the full details, please!
Thanks for the kindness Julie and so-o-o-o glad you liked Too Close to Call...I can't take credit for the BooksfromScotland.com thingie tho', that really was the brilliant DM - I just went along, groupie-like, to bask in her reflected glory! Oh, and the 'polishing' was mostly down to Mr Sheen.
Cheers for your comment me dear! It was Tony that did all the hard work though. He took my turd and polished it until it shone. Errrrrr, in a manner of speaking :-)
Hi Julie - thanks for the welcome, I really appreciate it ... to be honest, I'm really finding my way here at the moment, groping along ... any tips you can offer about Crime Space protocol will be very welcome indeed. Meantime, keep punching the keys ... to quote Hank Bukowski, "When you leave your typewriter you leave your machinegun and the rats come pouring through." Cheers, Dec
I uploaded those songs from the main page, so it didn't attach them to my member page. I'll have to see if I can fix it. And yes, START WEARING PURPLE FOR ME NOOOOOWWWWW!!!
Fantastic! I loved the Police's early stuff in particular - back when vinyl ruled and 'cool' meant being seen with the right album under your arm. (A rare occurrence for me - and I get worse as I get older!)

Great to meet you though and I believe your commendation from the Queen for putting up with Donna for much of the weekend is in the post.
Chatter chatter.
