I am now reading "In the woods" by Tana French. I have owned this book for months, but I find that working in a library, I tend to read library books first on the assumption that if I own a book I'll get to it 'someday'. It is only because my book group chose this title that I finally picked it up. What a nice surprise! I'm about half way through and I'm really enjoying it. I already purchased the sequel "The likeness". I confess I have over a hundred titles here at home that I haven't read yet. I hope my eyesight holds out until I retire.

Just finished a fabulous book by a new author.
"Sacrifice" by S.J. Bolton
It is very exciting to find debut novels that promise riches to come.

Hi Lynne, Welcome. As a Canadian, you might be interested to know that my upcoming book - Flight of the Hornbill - is loosely based on the Bre-X gold fraud in Indonesia.

On pseudonyms--I've used so many, I've lost count.

I use different names for each genre and subgenre.

Has anyone read "The calling" by Inger Ash Wolfe?
I really enjoyed it.
I wonder though WHY did this author use a pseudonym? We can speculate that they have changed genres and want a fresh perspective from their readers, or perhaps they just want to generate some 'hype' to sell more books.

I picked this title for the intriguing sounding blurb, before I realized it was a pseudonym. It sounded like a character driven plot, which are my favorite kind...
What are your views on pseudonyms? (and this one in particular)

Writers love those people who are readers. It seems that lately readers are in short supply.
