Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writings Festival in Harrogate, Yorkshire, UK, is over. What an exciting experience! Thanks to the organisation team for a great festival - well, and very warm wishes to the Crown's hotel manager. We will come back, like it or don't ;-)

Colin Cotterill (on the right) talked to me about his novel The Coroner's Lunch.

Crime scene: The Crown in the centre of Harrogate.

Natasha Cooper (right hand) moderated the discussion with Peter Robinson, Stef Penney, Stuart MacBride, Simon Kernick, Peter James, Graham Hurley and Simon Beckett.

Huge success: 7,000 tickets were sold in total.

Stef Penney was awarded with "Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year" for her debut The Tenderness of Wolves.

The others from the short list looked quite surprised.

Great duo: Talking to Mark Billingham (left hand) and Martyn Waites was a big fun!
