This is the proposed cover design for my latest novel, 'Pestilence'. It still has a bit of work left to be done before it's fully ready, but I thought I'd share it with my frineds here. The artwork is by my brilliant friend and cvoer designer Graeme S Houston, the man who can actually 'see' my books in his mind, and then 'thinks in pictures' in order to design my covers. The man is a veritable genius and I don't know what I'd do without his amazing work on my cover designs. Thanks…

In an e-mail I received two days ago the CEO of Rain Publishing, who were due to release 'Glastonbury' in four weeks, informed that due to personal health reasons, the publishing company wil be closing with effect from 15th April. She has what appears to be an aggressive and as yet un-named, (though easily guessed at), illnesswhich is life-threatening and she has to devote all of her time to trying to beat it. This means that 'Glastonbury' is now back to square one, as she will be releasing me…

'A Study in Red- The Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper' is apparently selling rather well. I received an e-mail to this effect from my publisher last weeek, and when I told him I was intending to write a sequel, he immediately replied with an acceptance of the manuscript of the new novel for publication, even though it is as yet unwritten. What a wonderful thing to happen! I'm very flattered that the publisher thinks enough of my work to make me the…

Rain Books have sent out the first round of press releases for my forthcoming release 'Glastonbury'. As they are in Canada I'm not familiar with the publications they use over there, but they have sent me a list of newspapers they have sent the release to in the UK, which includes 'The Times'. I'm impressed by the long list of newspapers around the country that they have submitted the release to. This is what they've said about it:

My agent has successfully negotiated a great new paperback deal for three of my books.
New novel 'Purple Death' will join previously published e-books 'The Nemesis Cell' and 'Avenue of the Dead' in being released as paperbacks later this year by new publisher Still Waves Publishing. These will all be published under traditional publishing contracts and not the self-publsihign…

Crimespace is truly a great place to be. I've been a member for less than a week and have already made so many friends. Thanks to all who have contacted me and to those who've accepted my own invitations to join my friends list. Today, I'm going to a reunion for some of the men who flew with RAF Bomber Command during WW2, and I'll be making a short speech and reading out a poem I wrote in honour of all they did in those long ago dark… Continue
